MathCAD for Linux?

Anyone know of any good tool or combination of tools that perform the same functions as MathCAD on Linux? Not necessarily open source but preferably.

Update: I found one called Maxima which is open source and runs under Windoz or Linux. Any other options? $0 sure beats the $1200.00 MathCAD license if I'm only going to use it for a special project or two.
