Error

So, I was about to post something cheeky and inflammatory, like a suggestion that we switch from Drupal to something less powerful, less flexible and more dangerous--like Joomla--when it threw an error at me:
warning: Creating default object from empty value in /srv/drupal/6.x/drupal-6.x/modules/forum/forum.module on line 219.
And there you have it. The first post in over 7 years and it's serious and legit and everything.
And... Go!
- T.
P.S. Don't change. I love Drupal ... but I usually install a few more creature comforts like CKEditor and IMCE.
P.P.S. Oooh. It threw another one after I saved:
warning: strtotime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected the timezone 'UTC' for now, but please set date.timezone to select your timezone. in /srv/drupal/6.x/drupal-6.x/modules/node/node.module on line 866.

Forums

There's been some suggestions on the CINLUG e-mail list (http://lists.cinlug.org/listinfo/cinlug) that we should make the forums read only due to the lack of activity (and more of our members are active/prefer the mailing list).  We're in the process of migrating the site to a newer Drupal version which should fix some of the broken cruft.

Makes sense

If there's no value in the forums, I agree. I use the Spamicide, AntiSpam and Spambot modules in tandem to control signups and comment spam. Works quite well.

Should be fixed

BTW, the errors should be fixed now.

Indeed

They are. Thanks.
