Please note: Due to the unavailability of our normal meeting room, the November 4, 2020 CINLUG meeting will be held online.
Topic: Fedora 33 and CentOS Stream
Host: Bernie Hoefer
Presenter: Ben Cotton
Fedora 33 is here! It’s one of the most exciting releases in a long time with BTRFS as the default filesystem for desktops, Fedora IoT promoted to an Edition, and lots of other new features. Ben Cotton, the Fedora Program Manager, will be here to talk about this release and all of the other changes in Fedora over the last year. Plus, he’ll give an introduction to CentOS Stream: the future of RHEL.
Ben Cotton is a meteorologist by training, but weather makes a great hobby. Ben works as the Program Manager for Fedora and CentOS Stream at Red Hat. He is an Open Organization Ambassador, and is a member of the Open Source Initiative and a supporter of Software Freedom Conservancy.
BlueJeans by Verizon video conferencing, which has multi-platform support, will be used for the event. At the very least you can use the WebRTC link to connect via any modern browser, or install platform specific app. To test one’s connection before our meeting, one can visit: https://bluejeans.com/111.
