Join Central INdiana Linux User Group (CINLUG) for our May meeting! We are pleased to host Joshua Loscar speaking on “Staying RHELevant In Your Home Lab.”
If you are trying to land a job working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux but have little to no experience, this presentation (which was selected for the 2023 Southern California Linux Expo) is for you!
This presentation will teach anyone how to use Red Hat’s Free developer license to build your home Lab with up to 16 nodes. You’ll learn how to create an account, download, install, register subscription and get started with KVM virtualization on the desktop using cockpit. Joshua will demo how to secure your environment using Ansible to help automate your lab, along with other tips and tricks for testing.
Joshua is a senior technical account manager for Red Hat whose passions include privacy, security and hardware platforms like the Raspberry Pi, Steam Deck, & 3D printing. He is the husband of a very loving & patient wife and father of 3 boys.
The meeting will begin at 18:30 (6:30 PM) EDT on Wednesday, May 3rd.
CINLUG thanks Moser Consulting for hosting our meetings at their facility at 6220 Castleway West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46250. (There will be a phone number at the entrance to call to be let into the building.) The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast over Jitsi Meet for those who cannot attend in person. (Though in-person attendance is encouraged.)
CINLUG meetings are the 1st Wednesday of every month. Please be sure to block that night off in your calendar to keep it available!
