Central INdiana Linux User Group (CINLUG) has a radical, (not-so) new idea to stop the daily barrage of data breaches. Actually, CINLUG doesn’t have that idea… our guest, Greg Scott does! He’ll present on it in “Let’s Open our Security Practices” this Wednesday night, August 2nd at 18:30 (6:30 PM) EDT.
Greg knows what he is talking about! He is a recognized cyber security expert in the Minneapolis, MN area through his guest interviews on WCCO radio, blog postings on IT security and appearances before multiple industry groups.
Greg is a veteran of the IT industry, an entrepreneur (having started 2 successful consulting businesses) and an author of technology-thriller fiction books that weave real-world IT security themes into their stories.
CINLUG thanks Moser Consulting for hosting our meetings at their facility. (There will be a phone number at the entrance to call to be let into the building.) The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast over Google Meet for those who cannot attend in person. (Though in-person attendance is encouraged.)
CINLUG meetings are the 1st Wednesday of every month. Please be sure to block that night off in your calendar to keep it available and subscribe to our announce mailing list to be kept informed of upcoming topics!
