The server is acting slow… AGAIN. What’s going on?! What is causing this?!
Come hear how Performance Co-Pilot can help you analyze system performance at the next Central INdiana Linux User Group (CINLUG) meeting to solve this annoying problem!
Bernie Hoefer1 will talk about PCP’s extendable architecture and how it can collect metrics across many “domains”, like CPUs, memory and disks — but also software like Apache and MySQL. Because PCP is extendable, 3rd party hardware & software developers have made domain agents for PCP to gather metrics from their products. With all these metrics, one can analyze systems’ performances in real-time or using historical data. Since the major GNU/Linux distributions all include PCP in their repositories, it is easy to install and use!
The meeting will begin at 18:30 (6:30 PM) EST on Wednesday, March 5th.
CINLUG thanks Moser Consulting for hosting our meetings at their facility2. (There will be a phone number at the entrance to call to be let into the building.) The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast over this Jitsi Meet URL for those who cannot attend in person. (Though in-person attendance is encouraged.)
CINLUG meetings are the 1st Wednesday of every month. Please be sure to block that night off in your calendar to keep it available! Bazzite — “the next generation of Linux gaming” — is tentatively scheduled to be April’s topic.
