Please note: Due to the unavailability of our normal meeting room, the July 7, 2021 CINLUG meeting will be held online.

Topic: Rocky Linux

Host: Bernie Hoefer / Presenter: Greg Kurtzer

Greg Kurtzer will be giving a presentation on Rocky Linux.

Rocky Linux is a complete, binary-compatible downstream release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and successor to CentOS -- which Greg also originally founded. Rocky Linux 8.4 was just released on June 23, 2021:

Along with his work with Rocky Linux, Greg is founder and chief executive officer of Ctrl IQ, Incorporated. Ctrl IQ works to modernize high performance computing (HPC) infrastructure and bring forth HPC-2.0 capabilities from niche into the mainstream enterprise. Rocky Linux, Singularity and Warewulf, as open source projects, are the primary building blocks of this.
