September 2, 2020 CINLUG Online Meeting

Please note: Due to the unavailability of our normal meeting room, the September 2, 2020 CINLUG meeting will be held online.

Topic: Introducing Btrfs

Host: Bernie Hoefer
Presenter: Neal Gompa

Btrfs (commonly pronounced "butter-eff-ess) is the next generation filesystem for Linux that everyone is talking about! This talk provides an overview of the filesystem, a bit of history, who uses it, current state of support in distributions, and how to get started with using Btrfs.

Neal Gompa of the Fedora Project joined us from Connecticut for the August online meeting.

BlueJeans by Verizon video conferencing, which has multi-platform support, will be used for the event. At the very least you can use the WebRTC link to connect via any modern browser, or install platform specific app. To test one's connection before our meeting, one can visit: https://bluejeans.com/111.
