Coming to a meeting

I went to the ITEC event and got the bug to start learning Linux. I have never even seen it run on a computer. From an educational angle, would it do any good just to drop in, or would it be like listening to my wife talk about her feelings (might as well be speaking Arabic cause I don't understand)? I still want to come just for the socializing and getting familiar with the terms.

Re: Coming to a meeting

You are most welcome to come! The scheduled presentations usually last about an hour or so. The meetings go longer based on questions for the presenter and/or open discussions. Many times people can get help with specific problems they are having and don't forget that CINLUG sponsors events like the "Linux Boot Camp" and "Installfests." We haven't had an installfest recently, perhaps we're due.
